| Habitat
for Humanity Towns/Union Counties dedicated their fifth
home on Saturday, August 20, 2005. The celebration was well
attended by Habitat representatives, friends, family, local
sponsors and State Representative Charles Jenkins and his wife.
Mr. Jenkins complemented Habitat volunteers for their work.
Reverend Leon McDonald of New Hope Baptist Church gave the
opening prayer and the Litany of Thanksgiving was read. A
presentation of the Bible, keys to the home and the response
of the family followed. As Reverend McDonald consecrated
the home, he expressed these thoughts "Love raised the money,
gifts and talents were offered by many people and a new life
now awaits the family. May the members of the family be filled
with the grace and love of God in all they do, so that God
may be glorified." |
